SJS: Let's Grow Together!

This is a 45 metre long community mural created for a transitional housing development in Hong Kong. The artwork visualises five stages of collective growth—seeding, nurturing, collaborating, exploring and flourishing—using planting as a metaphor for social care and shared responsibility. Designed as an open framework, the mural includes drawing templates that enable co-creation across ages and backgrounds. A final participatory painting workshop invited resident families to contribute directly to the artwork, fostering a sense of ownership and belonging. The project transforms a transitional space into a living expression of inclusion, wellbeing and community resilience.
